can someone help me find out how to calculate flow rate in pipes and pump head for water transfer pump?

can someone help me find out how to calculate flow rate in pipes of different materials and different dia’s. also i wish to know how to calculate water transfer pump head for transfer and booster pumps. i searched a lot on net but havent got straight formula’s. can someone help me out.tks. sandhya.

    I am not sure the exact information you want but Rainbird (Irrigation).com has a chart of pipe sizes of various irrigation pipes through 6 inches in the back of their catalog which shows flow rates and friction loss in plastic and iron pipes. Search catalog then go to reference on their web site to see this information. Southern California Edison’s Hydraulic Services division does irrigation pump testing in its jurisdiction and if you contact Mike Poortenga in their office at 909 820 5159 he may be able to help you find the information you want on your pumps.
